First please install the Google Drive app located here: https://www.google.com/drive/download/
Then follow the steps below.
Step 1. left click the "Get Started" button
Step 2. Left-click the "Sign in" button
Step 3. Left-click the "next" button
Step 4: Next again!!
Step 5: Select Folders to Backup
Choose folders "Desktop, "Documents", and "Downloads" to backup
Optional Step: Also, you may choose any other folder to backup like the "photos or videos folder for example" or folders that you have created by left-clicking the "add folder" button. Then left-click the "next" button
Step 6: Select more Folders to Backup
Choose folders "Pictures" and "Videos" to backup
Also, you may choose any other folder to backup like the "photos or videos folder for example" or folders that you have created by left-clicking the "add folder" button. Then left-click the "next" button
Step 7: Make sure it has all the folders you want to sync. Then Left-click on Open Drive. All done!! now to be on the safe side just wait maybe a day or two for it to sync up completely
The part below is only for people who need to get a new laptop
Step 1:Once you get your new devices and install the Google app again on the new device you will be able to find your Stuff in File Explorer under "This PC" in the G drive.
Step 2: After you click on the G drive. Left click on Other computers
Step 3:Then Left-Click the My Laptop folder
Step 4: And all you stuff will be there
