Following this link and running the corresponding file should kill the annoying, irritating, frustrating, aggravating, infuriating, upsetting annoyance of HP Microphone Optimizer.

Chrome stupidly takes issue with this and you have to tell it to keep (in the bottom left-hand corner)
Open the folder when done, or run it from the bottom left-hand corner (same effect)
Windows Defender tries blocking it
Click on more info then run anyways.
Convoluted, but this permanently fixes the nuisance. It might take a restart to fully realize this bliss.
